The Diagnostic
A single, principal-led examination of one decision of consequence.
Introduction
Before a season of mentorship, a single examination.
The diagnostic is for leaders who have a specific decision, position or transition in motion — and who suspect the constraint is not information but judgment. One private session, three named instruments, a written close. It is not the beginning of an ongoing engagement. It is a complete piece of work in itself.
The instruments
Three instruments,applied in sequence.
Drawn from the same library used inside private mentorship. Operated here on one decision, in one sitting.
I.
Direction Audit
A structured re-examination of where the decision is actually pointing — separating inherited trajectory from intentional one. Conducted before the commitment that is hardest to reverse.
II.
Conviction Review
A surfacing of the operating beliefs underneath the decision — those worth keeping, those worth shedding, those worth revisiting under different conditions.
III.
Position Audit
A separation of positions independently arrived at from positions absorbed in transit — and a written redrafting of the ones worth keeping.
What is included
The shape of the engagement, named precisely.
Written intake
A short brief, completed before the session, that names what is actually being decided.
One ninety-minute session
Private, principal-led, conducted within the architecture of leadership intelligence.
Three instruments applied
Direction Audit, Conviction Review, Position Audit — operated, not announced.
Written close
A short document delivered within seven days: what is sharpened, what is set down, what is next.
Who it is for
Senior leaders with a specific decision in motion.
Founders, principals, partners, executives and senior operators navigating a decision, position or transition with long-term consequence — and who want a single sitting in which to examine it before committing further.
For some, the diagnostic is sufficient in itself. For others, it becomes the opening of a longer season of private mentorship. The decision is made after, not before.
It is not coaching, not consulting, not a strategy session. It is one piece of structured examination, conducted seriously.
Engagement
One session. One written close.
Format
Ninety minutes, private
Conducted by video or in person, by arrangement. No deck, no template, no agenda emailed in advance.
Delivered
Within ten working days
A short written close — what is sharpened, what is set down, what is next — delivered within seven days of the session.
Investment
£1,500, single engagement
A fixed fee. Credited in full against a subsequent mentorship season, should one follow.
Selection
By written enquiry
A short note describing the decision under examination is sufficient. Engagements are accepted on alignment and fit.
One decision, examined seriously, in a single sitting.
